The Story

Bloom emerged from a deeply personal artistic journey. After decades of working as a classically trained singer, I found myself asking a simple but profound question:

Who am I when I am no longer defined solely by the roles I have been trained to perform?

Rather than leaving classical music behind, Bloom grows from it. The work embraces the discipline, beauty, and history of operatic training while opening new pathways through original songwriting, spoken word, electronics, projected imagery, and immersive performance.

Drawing on memories, family history, cultural identity, and lived experience, Bloom explores what it means to rediscover creative voice beyond expectation. Throughout the performance, themes of transformation, vulnerability, and renewal unfold through a dialogue between sound, image, movement, and story.

At its heart, Bloom is an invitation to imagine that creative life has no expiry date. It celebrates the possibility that growth, reinvention, and artistic flourishing can continue throughout every stage of life.
